Greenz Outdoor Services was founded by Mark Gilliland in 2022, right here in Phenix City, AL. The idea was simple: homeowners in the twin cities deserved one crew that could take an outdoor project from a rough idea to a finished space — without handing the job off between a designer, a contractor, and a subcontractor along the way.
Today that's still how the company works. The crew that walks your property and plans the project is the crew that shows up to build it, on both sides of the Chattahoochee.
We Start With What Your Property Actually Needs
Every yard in the Chattahoochee Valley has its own mix of red-clay soil, shade, slope, and drainage — and what works in a magazine photo doesn't always work in a backyard off the river. Hot, humid summers are hard on new plantings, and heavy rain finds every low spot in a lot.
So before anyone talks plant lists or pavers, we walk the property. We look at how the water moves, where the sun lands, and how you actually use the space. Then we recommend the work that makes sense — and tell you plainly when something you're considering isn't worth the money.
